There is no need to pick a username and password for most Riverfront events. Registrations for PROGRAMS do require a username and password. For ticketed events, just bring your receipt to the event and that will serve as your ticket.

  

Kickboxing with 9Round

Yoga on the Riverfront

Bring your yoga mat to the pavilion in Promenade Park for FREE yoga on the Riverfront. This relaxing, 1-hour flow is for all skill levels and led by instructor Chelsea Vona, owner of Discover Yoga. Yoga mats will be provided if you do not have one. Class will be held on the Old National Bank Plaza in August. In the case of inclement weather, classes will be moved inside to the Park Foundation Pavilion.

Sunday Heritage Concert Series

Experience an up close and personal concert with local musicians and musical groups in the Park Foundation Pavilion. Concerts are FREE and open to all ages. Seating inside will be on a first come first served basis.

Storytime at the Park

Join the Allen County Public Library on Wednesday mornings for fresh air, sunshine, and children’s literature at Promenade Park. Sessions will be held under the awning of the Park Foundation Pavilion. No pre-registration is required for these FREE story sessions. There will be no Storytime on Juneteeth holiday (June 19).

Dragon Boat Races

Meet us at the riverfront for the 8th annual Fort Wayne Dragon Boat Races! Dragon Boat Racing originated in China and features 21-person teams paddling their craft in unison to a rhythmic drumbeat. The fun begins Friday evening with the Dragon Boat Opening Ceremony, featuring live music, local food, traditional dancing and floating fire pits. We are back in action Saturday morning when the competition begins! Additional activities include local food, kids’ activities and more. Team registration is underway. Express yourself with sidewalk chalk, stop on the Parkview Tree Canopy Trail for a photo opportunity, enjoy food and beverages at Teds Snack + Bar, play cornhole, ping pong, and foosball in the Outdoor Games area, splash around in the Doermer Kids Canal, have fun in the PNC Playground and relax on the urban swings overlooking the St. Marys River.

River Rangers: Getting Batty at Promenade

Confluence Kitchen: Latin America

The focus for this iteration of Confluence Kitchen is the diverse and rich culture, music, and food of Latin America. Bring the entire family out to enjoy Latin Flavors from local food trucks and sugar cane beverages. KelsiCoteBanda will be performing LIVE music during the event and sharing info about the International Concert Series at PFW the next day. Multiple countries will be represented along with learning opportunities. Kids activities and a photo booth will also be available. Be Your Own Artist: String Art Leaf

As autumn will soon be falling around us, so too will the leaves. Create your own beautiful leaf using string and a board with nails. Instructor Tracy Britt will lead you through the process. You’ll choose your own string colors and widths to incorporate into your project. Most nails will already be in your 9 “x 10” pre-stained board, however some will be left out so that you can have the whole experience of making your own piece. Registration deadline: September 20. Spirit of History Walking Tour

This walking tour will take you through the history surrounding the park, including its hauntings and vices. We will endeavor to bring history to life by telling tales and breathing life back into the souls that still haunt our building and town - relax and enjoy our tour as we take you on a walk through time. Spooky Critter Houses: Bat Boxes

Did you know that a single brown bat can eat up to 3,000 mosquito sized bugs every night!? Join Riverfront and the Save Maumee Grassroots organization as we build mini single-chamber bat houses and decorate them for these amazing natural pest managers. The bat box kits are made by local woodworking company, Firefly Goods, from repurposed wood and Save Maumee members will be on-site to help you assemble your project. You will also get instructions on when, where and how to hang your bat home in the backyard. This is a great class for kids and adults alike, parental supervision required for children. Dance Promenade: Latin Dance Fundamentals
Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Dance Promenade returns with an in depth 3-part workshop focused on fundamental techniques along with musicality and styling for Latin dance styles including Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha or even Rumba. Join instructor Brenda Diaz as she reviews weight transfer, body position, hand styling and more. Don’t know how to “move your hips”? This class is for you! Designed for anyone from beginner to intermediate. Registration deadline is the Tuesday before each class. Min. 20. Max. 50.
