Beginning Pottery

A skill such as pottery allows you to express your creativity and produce something that you can use or display, but it can also be therapeutic by relieving stress and improving dexterity and fine motor skills. So many benefits in such a fun hobby! In our beginning pottery class you will learn how to prepare clay, how to work the clay by hand and with a pottery wheel, and various glazing techniques. You will create several unique pieces to take home. All pottery will be fired at the Community Center and may be picked up one week after the last class. Each class session includes time for set-up and clean-up and may extend to an extra session depending on the condition of the pottery as it is dried and fired. Ages 13+. Registration deadlines: June 3 and June 2
Tools, white clay and glazes will be provided.
***There will no class on July 4
