Beginning Pottery - 142004

Pottery is not only a therapeutic activity, but it also provides the perfect solution for enhancing creativity and self-expression. Give pottery a try and tap into your artistic side, unleash your imagination and create unique pieces of art to enjoy. You will learn both hand building and wheel throwing techniques, how to prepare clay, select a design and various glazing techniques. Every student will create unique pieces to take home. All pieces will be fired at the Community Center and may be picked up one week after the last class. Each class session includes time for set-up and clean-up and may extend to an extra session depending on the condition of the pottery as it is dried and fired. Ages 13+.
